The Qualified Longevity Annuity Contract (QLAC) was created by the Department of the Treasury in July 2014. The Internal Revenue Service, an agency of the Treasury, issued the final regulation, identified by ’26 CFR Parts 1 and 602′ and docket TD 9673, on July 2, 2014. In addition to being available on irs.gov, the U.S. Government Publishing Office printed it in the following Federal Register.
